The company was founded in 1891 by the grandfather of our current
chairman, Edward M. Duggan. Beginning in a small shop on
Boston's Shawmut Avenue, this modest plumbing repair and maintenance
business was taken over by Edward's father in 1942. Ed later followed
in their footsteps.
